Maria is an experienced wealth advisor with over 24 years in the industry focusing on investment management and financial planning. Maria joined Baird in 2015 from Zions Wealth Advisors and prior to that she was a financial advisor at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance from Weber State University. In 2024 Maria earned her Certified Private Wealth Advisor® designation.
Her areas of focus are manager evaluation and selection, client education, Social Security and Medicare. In addition, Maria utilizes comprehensive wealth planning, which incorporates an in-depth discovery process to help uncover financial goals, concerns, risks, and opportunities.
Maria is actively involved with her community. As an immigrant, she is grateful for the opportunities she continues to have and shares her time and talent with various organizations. She currently serves as advisory board member of the Utah Asian Chamber of Commerce. She was appointed to a two-year term with the Utah Multi Cultural Commission, by the Office of the Governor. She served as advisory board member for the Catholic Community Services. She supports organizations focusing on empowering women and volunteer in the areas of personal finance and confident investing through speaking engagements. She volunteers to speak to middle school students through Weber State University’s Summer Prep STEM program.
She enjoys spending time with her family and friends and currently taking up golfing, kayaking paddle boarding for summer fun.
